I have used short term/long term planners before, some of them, for extended period of time. I love Danette’s approach to planning because it’s not about Get Things Done or Get As Many Things Done As Possible In One Week. Her approach works well for us, overplanners like me, to focus on one thing a day. In the recent past I would have a 10-15 tasks list for each day and feel like a failure in the evening realizing that I only got through the first two on the list. Having just one task makes me feel like I am getting things done. Funny how the mind works. I would recommend Danette’s planner to everybody who is recovering from overplanning and overscheduling.
